A little bit about me. Let’s bullet point it!

I’m a 39 year old mother of 2 daughters.  I was born & mostly raised in the Rio Grande Valley, but I also lived in Walla Walla, WA for several years. It was there that I learned English & developed a ferocious love of reading.  We were “homeless” for some time but that meant I got to spend every day, hour after hour, at the local public library where I devoured every book I could get my hands on.   I married young, 20 years old, to a Marine & my HS Sweetheart. After 15 years of being a homemaker & part-time entrepreneur, I began my second life.

I began simply enough: substitute teaching, waitressing, driving Lyft & donating plasma to make ends meet. I moved on to another school, thriving and even falling in love. Still, life is life & it does what it does, but I keep moving! I stayed in education until after COVID, & moved into customer/patient relations in a corporate orthodontic company.

The goal? The aim? The continue the growing pains…accelerating a lifetime of lessons, mistakes, successes & income brackets into the 5 years I’ve been on my own. It’s been exhausting & terrifying, & rewarding in so many ways. It's in my writing that this pain, this celebration comes to life.

Life is a comedy. Or it’s a tragedy.
